Hernia International

Dr McGregor has now operated in nine different countries, primarily in his capacity as a volunteer with a charity called ” Hernia International“.

Not everyone has the capacity to have their hernia fixed and subsequently just in Africa every year over 100,000 people die from bowel dying because it is stuck in their hernia.

Hernia International has surgeons from all over the world that volunteer their time to travel to poor and disadvantaged areas of the world and teach local doctors how to perform safe hernia repair as well as performing a large number of repairs in a two weeks period.
